In October 2002, with over 20 years experience in the utilities industry and specialised knowledge of electrofusion techniques, Dino Cancellara and Giulio Acierno established GD Hire LTD. Initially GD Hire LTD primarily focused on hiring polyethylene butt welding and electrofusion equipment, however it quickly developed to offer a specialised machine operative and consultation service.

DEVELOPMENT
Following the rapid developments and the increasing demand for geothermal systems further steps were taken to expand and Geothermal Developments evolved. In September 2007 Dino and Giulio travelled to America and successfully completed the only internationally recognised accreditation for geothermal installation the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA).
